The Project of IPC Academy took Rp. 250 Billion

PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II or IPC targeting the development of logistics university, IPC Academy, which cost a total of Rp250 Billion in Bogor Ciawi completed by the end of this year.

President Director of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II or Indonesian Port Cooperation (IPC) Richard Joost Lino said prestigious projects involving Netherland Maritime University (STC-NMU) Rotterdam, was built on an area of 10 ha in Ciawi Bogor.

"We took the academy of the Netherlands, because they have strong capabilities and experience in maritime logistics education," he said on the sidelines of BOD on teaching in SMA Negeri 1 Amahai Monday (20/5).

Those activities are part of corporate social responsibility which carried out by the directors of state in celebrating National Awakening Day. It held at the high school where the directors were raised.

The activity aims to inspire students through stories related to his profession. In Amahai, participants were about 18 senior high school.

IPC Pushes Growth in Agribusiness

JAKARTA - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (IPC) II worked with several multinational companies will build a shore tank for bulk liquid oil palm agribusiness trade to boost growth.

IPCs have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with five multinational company engaged in manufacturing and trading of agro products.

Those five multinational companies are PT Apex Indopacific, Asianagro Agungjaya PT, PT Louis Dreyfus Commodities, PT Indah Sandabi , and PT Indonesia Trinity Palm Trans.

Next, IPC will also sign a similar MoU with PT Bengkulu Pasko Jaya for a total of six companies to build and operate the towed tank Hoard Liquid Bulk Port Bengkulu.

"After signing the MoU, IPC and the partners will soon form a Joint Team to prepare a work plan together, do coordination with related parties, as well as preparing legal instruments are needed, "said RJ Lino.

Within this cooperation, IPC II and six companies have agreed to prepare a work plan same construction and operation of the Bulk Liquid Tank Hoard which includes three main things.

First, the implementation of the feasibility study either technical, commercial, operational, financial, legal, and other aspects form the basis for cooperation.

Second, the measurement and determination of areas that will included in the scope of cooperation.

IPC and West Kalimantan provincial goverment will build the Port of Kijing

Pelabuhan Indonesia II (Persero) in cooperation with the Provincial Government of West Kalimantan to build a port in Kijing beach region, West Kalimantan. "We are working with the local government ordinance," said Technical Director of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II (Persero) Ferialdy Noerlan in Jakarta, Wednesday (8/5).

Port development plan is still under discussion by both parties. However Ferialdy said that the IPC and West Kalimantan Provincial Government are committed together to building a port in that new area.

Ferialdy said that this development of a new port is in order to of port expansion and to accommodate a logistics trend and economic and also cargo. Port development was also conducted at the Port of Sibolga.

IPC will work with Pelindo I. The stage of development is still in feasibilty study. With the existence of this port, will increase the shipping lanes on the west side of Sumatra. So far, its concentrate in Port of Teluk Bayur.

"previously, there were only Teluk Bayur, its hard. That (the Port Sibolga) can take everywhere. Its more efficient if the ships carrying the goods, so it will not just going to Teluk Bayur and back home with empty," he explained.

The Ports that are in the development stage by IPC is the Port of Muara Sabak, Jambi, that are in the feasibility study stage. IPC will add depth to the current flow of about 5 meters. For development, the IPC has not yet decided whether to pick up private company or not.

IPC to implement 24 hour-7 days system in Port of Pulau Baai

Management of IPC Bengkulu branch implement port service system that operates 24 hours a day and seven days a week (24/7) at Port of Pulau Baai, Bengkulu. The new system is part of a strategy to improve the efficiency of the port.

Saptono also revealed that IPC facilities continue to make improvements, the addition of the dock and unloading equipment at the port.

The Increased need of service in Bengkulu can be an indicator of economic growth in the province. IPC data indicates the average growth in the flow of non-containerized goods at Pulau Baai by 25% in the last five years. The significant increase is the result of investments made to improve facilities at the Port of Pulau Baai.

In 2011, IPC as a port operator dredge the plot to -12MLWS. This dredging allows container ships to berth in harbor, and as the result is a regrof of container market which had been halted in 2005-2011.

The past five years, the number of ships in the port of Pulau Baai rose by 18%. In addition to the number of ships, the size of the ship at the Port of Pulau Baai was greater than ever before. It was seen from the ship gross tonnage (GT) that grew 34% since 2007.

Along with an increase in the number and capacity of ships that berth, The traffic flow of goods in Port of Baai increased significantly. In 2010, the realization of the flow of goods by trade reached 2.4 million tons. While the flow of goods is based on the distribution of 2.7 million tons.

The number increased double in 2012 to 4.6 million tons. Port of Pulau Baai had always been at a disadvantage, in 2012 scored a record revenue of Rp100 billion.

IPC is waiting Presidential Decree to Build Port in Sorong

PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II (Persero) is still awaiting presidential decree related to the construction of the Port of Sorong, West Papua. "IPC II is still awaiting Presidential Decree. Planned within one or two months out," said President Director of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia or IPC II, RJ Lino, in Jakarta, Wednesday (24/4).

Pelindo II, Lino said, actually had prepared port design. Total investment for the construction of the port was budgeted at Rp 2 trillion from the company`s internal and loans. Estimated construction took two years.

"If the permits is release, we will build it. Development shoves two years so," said Lino.

Sorong Port a priority to support the concept of Pendulum Nusantara. In addition to Sorong, four other ports to support this concept, namely the Port of Belawan (Medan), the Port of Tanjung Priok (Jakarta), Tanjung Perak (Surabaya), and the Port of Soekarno-Hatta (Makassar). Lino optimistic, this port will be the largest logistics distribution center in eastern Indonesia.

By 2013, the IPCs II increase infrastructure investment to be 7 trillion.Most of the investment is allocated to projects Kalibaru terminal, Tanjung Priok and Sorong.Last year a total investment of state-owned companies amounted to Rp 2.1 trillion.

Goodbye Teluk Bayur`s queue

Liputan6.com, Jakarta: Teluk Bayur is the busiest port in West Sumatra. Because of the crowded, the ship waiting time can be up to 15-20 days. Now, with the inauguration of the container terminal PT IPC II Branch Teluk Bayur, Teluk Bayur is become the only port in Indonesia with zero queue.

Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) Dahlan Iskan inaugurated the operation of Container Terminal II PT IPC Teluk Bayur Branch, West Sumatra, on Monday (04/29/2013).

"Because the ships coming into the Teluk Bayur no need to queue. If this happened, all the ship will coming to here.," Said Dahlan as revealed SOEs Spokesperson Faisal Halimi, Monday (04/29/2013).

Dahlan even claimed to have announced this port excellence through social media Twitter account.

Moreover, the construction of the port is also very fast because it uses non fund the state budget (Budget) so it does not require a long process.

"There`s a lot of entrepreneurs who want to join and today there are three people here" said Dahlan.

West Sumatra Governor Irwan Prayitno admit that the ships`s queue in the Teluk Bayur port very severe indeed. He hoped the inauguration of the Teluk Bayur container terminal is expected to attract investors to invest in West Sumatra.

"Efficiency is carried out in the Teluk Bayur will benefit all parties, instances of PT Semen Padang. Costs more efficiently. But I forget the numbers," he said.

According to General Manager of IPC II Branch Teluk Bayur Dalsap Usman, container terminal development requires Rp 675 billion investment.

Operation of container terminals that has been built from 2011, will help reduce logistics costs, improve efficiency and increase the purchasing power of people in West Sumatra.

"Before the ship waiting time on average 15-20 days, so that now can instantly direct loading dock or zero waiting time," he said.

Teluk Bayur port formerly named Emmahaven which has been built since the Dutch colonial era between 1888 until 1893. Port development is in line with the finding of high calorie coal in Sawah lunto.

IPC II Cooperates with World Bank to Study Port

Jakarta-PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II (IPC)) will cooperate with the World Bank to conduct studies about the two ports in Indonesia.

Director of Pelindo II Richard Joost Lino said, the first study on how to develop loop (area) ports in Indonesia, and the second is a matter of logistics cost reduction.

"The plan of cooperation was conducted on May 2. Study takes the first 3 months, and the second study takes 6 months," Lino said in Jakarta, Wednesday (04/24/2013).

Lino explained, the company will pay the World Bank to conduct these studies. However, Lino still reluctant to infrom how the value of the partnership contract.

Lino add the results of a study of the World Bank can be used as capital to borrow funds from third parties. Results of studies conducted by the World Bank will be feasibilty study (FS).

"FS output. Upon study, we can ask for loan to other parties, such as the World Bank or other countries," he said.

People in Kalibaru feel relieved with the IPC`s CSR
