Container services increased in the last three years and the limited capacity of the port of Tanjung Priok and facilities to serve the growing national and international containers.
Newpriok Terminal will be the largest international terminal in Indonesia, and will strengthen domestic trade by providing a world class port.
IPC will continue to deliver on its promise to energise trade and accelerate Indonesia’s growth through its development of Newpriok Terminal and also by providing more efficient and competitive services, higher trade and lower transport cost.
The first phase of development, which will provide an additional capacity of approximately 4.5 million TEUs, will begin its first terminal operations by 2015.
Newpriok Terminal will accommodate additional capacity up to 10,5 million TEUs of containers annually.
