Jakarta, August 16, 2012 - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II (Limited) or IPC with subsidiaries and affiliated companies this year held a departure Joint Homecoming activities launched by the Minister of Transport today at 09.00 am at the Passenger Terminal archipelago Pura, Tanjung Priok, Jakarta north.
Together Homecoming 2012 is intended to provide convenience for the company`s internal and communities around the Port of Tanjung Priok requiring transport to return to their hometown but have difficulty reaching the ticket price homecoming. Employees to whom this homecoming with labor consists of loading and unloading, office boy and cleaning service, non-organic personnel and outsourcing, as well as members of the Association of Retired Port Two. While people around the port facilitated the IPC Joint Homecoming 2012 came from the District of Koja, Tanjung Priok, and Cilincing.
With the theme "Together IPC Cheerful Fitri`s Day", this activity is expected to help the IPC internal and corporate environments citizens ahead of Idul Fitri, and can bring the relationship between the company and the employees and communities around the company.
"According to data from the Ministry of Transportation, the number of travelers this year certainly increased 6.8 percent compared to last year. While the means of transport available and affordable, the numbers are not comparable with the existing number of travelers. To that end, we strive to ensure that our employees and the public company environment can remain comfortable in their home town journey through the Joint Homecoming 2012, "said Managing Director of IPC RJ Lino.
Together Homecoming 2012 held collectively by the head office, branch, subsidiary, and affiliated companies IPC, which consists of the Head Office, Branch Port of Tanjung Priok, Tanjung Priok Car Terminal, Container Terminal (TPK) Koja, PT Jakarta International Container Terminal ( JICT) and PT Multi Terminal Indonesia (MTI). This activity uses buses will be dispatched the travelers from Jakarta to various cities and towns in Java and Sumatra. Buses were used totaling 110 units and will be used to pick up the travelers back on August 24, 2012 from their respective regions to return to Jakarta.
"To accommodate the transportation needs of Eid this time, buses were dispatched in order to Padang, Jambi, Palembang, Lampung, Indramayu, Brass, Pekalongan, Solo, Navan, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Pacitan, Surabaya, Malang with a total of 110 buses. For the purpose of the island of Sumatra, we used the bus with a capacity of 44 people, while the island of Java with a capacity of 54 people bus. All the passengers were covered by insurance, since departed, while at home, to return to Jakarta, "said Lino.
Port of Tanjung Priok Ready to Serve returnees
On Eid homecoming activities this year, IPC also continues to pursue the use of sea transport modes in order to become the people`s choice to go to my hometown. Readiness of these services can be seen in the Port Passenger Terminal services Tanjung Priok. To support passenger comfort during homecoming, IPC has been set up at the terminal facilities for passengers such as the provision of nursing mothers room, disabled room, canopy and facade cladding aluminum archipelago in Terminal 1 and 2, dropping area, parking area and garden.
Meanwhile, to support transportation homecoming, IPC also provides facilities and docks for strategic goods readiness inspection vessel in the Port of Tanjung Priok. With all this preparation, IPC hopes the community can do going home with a comfortable and safe so that they can be reunited with family members to stay in touch on the day of the pure.
