Tomohon, December 20, 2019 - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II (Persero) / IPC held a Christmas celebration of 2019 and the New Year 2020 as a form of gratitude and share with others. The celebration was held by giving donations and gifts to 500 Christian orphanage children in Tomohon City, North Sulawesi.
"We want to share the excitement so that the children of this orphanage share the joy of Christmas and New Year celebrations. With this momentum, we also want to foster mutual love, build mutual solidarity and tolerance,” said IPC Deputy President Director, Hambra Samal, on the sidelines of the Christmas and New Year 2020 celebrations in Tomohon, Friday (12/20).
Hambra said that the Christmas and New Year 2020 Celebrations in Tomohon City, North Sulawesi was held in collaboration with IPC and PT Wika, as a manifestation of the 'SOE Present for the Country' program. In addition to providing gifts and aids, the event also provided assistance to renovate toilets and orphanages. It was also enlivened by holding bazaar and distribution of 1,000 Bibles for children and orphanages that shelter them.
The celebration was attended by Mayor Tomohon, Jimmy Feidi Eman and Head of Environmental Social Responsibility Policy of the SOE Ministry, Eko Setiawan.
The Christmas 2019 and the 2020 New Year celebration with the theme "SOE Share for Others" was held simultaneously in 15 provinces where the population is mostly Christian.
